Biomedical Systems Engineering is a unique degree which teaches students to apply a Systems Engineering methodology incorporating concepts from multiple disciplines to the modelling, analysis and intervention of biomedical problems.

The Master of Engineering in Public Works (M.P.W.) degree is the most widely recognized educational credential for professionals engaged in public works and infrastructure engineering and management. This program is offered in cooperation with Illinois Tech’s Master of Public Policy and Administration program.

Graduate studies in Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University emphasize the understanding of fundamental scientific and engineering principles to manage and solve environmental problems in natural and engineering systems. The instructional program is designed to develop strong analytical, design, and management capabilities in the application of biological, chemical, and physical processes. Students are prepared for careers in consulting and design, environmental monitoring and management, or teaching and research. Research focuses on hazardous substances, environmental microbiology, fundamentals of transport processes in the environment, environmental chemistry, and groundwater and surface water resources.

Rutgers School of Engineering provides students with a strong technical background and prepares them for leadership careers in exciting and challenging professions. Both our teaching and research are firmly rooted in scientific principles while incorporating knowledge of today’s challenges.

The School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering offers a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering. Students can choose from among the following areas of concentration: Biochemical Reactors; Biotechnology; Electrochemical Deposition; Environmentally Benign Manufacturing; Fluidization Engineering; Materials Synthesis and Processing; Micro Energy and Chemical Systems; Polymer Rheology and Processing; Process Control/Optimization; Thin Film Processing; and Waste Minimization and Sustainable Processing. All programs are tailored to individual student needs and professional goals. A diversity of faculty interests, broadened and reinforced by cooperation between CBEE and other engineering departments and research centers on campus, makes tailored individual programs possible. The department originates and encourages programs ranging from those that are classically chemical engineering to those that are distinctly interdisciplinary.
