Este programa prepara al estudiante para una futura profesión en investigación biomédica académica o industrial y combina la teoría y la práctica de la ciencia y la medicina. El objetivo es proporcionar a los estudiantes una comprensión de los mecanismos moleculares, los métodos biomédicos y la biología humana, así como capacitarlos para aplicar conocimientos y competencias sobre problemas que son relevantes para el origen y el tratamiento de las enfermedades humanas. The Bachelor’s programme in Development Studies is interdisciplinary and focuses on economic, social and political processes and their links to development cooperation. The aim is to provide the knowledge needed in order to critically examine and understand the preconditions for, and process of, development. The programme draws on four different scientific traditions: sociology, political science, human geography and economic history. Students gain background knowledge needed to prepare for graduate and doctoral studies, as well as working in development-related fields at government agencies, private firms or NGOs.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts programme at Malmö Art Academy provides preparation for an international career. We take your own artistic work as the starting point in teaching theoretical and practical subjects. The programme consists of individual work in your own studio, individual tutoring from professors and other teaching staff, and timetabled courses in the major fields of artistic technique, artistic creation and art theory. Our internationally active professors work in a range of different artistic fields. This leads to important interaction at Malmö Art Academy and also gives you the opportunity to choose courses that reflect your artistic intentions.

This is an academic programme designed for students with a strong interest in mathematics, mathematical statistics and scientific computing. Flexibility and individual adaptation are keywords. A vast variety of courses in mathematics, statistics and numerical analysis are available within the programme and can be combined with courses from all other science areas, economics and finance, engineering, humanities and social sciences available at our university or within an exchange programme with other universities. For students with a strong interest in pure mathematics, the programme offers a path of courses at a higher theoretical level that can be continued at Master’s and even further at PhD level. For those students interested in more applied areas, there is a high degree of flexibility in choosing course combinations suitable for certain professions.

Our world is facing many challenges, both in basic science when exploring fundamental forces and particles or the origin of the universe, planets and life, and in applied science to find sustainable energy sources, new technology on the nano-scale and tailor-made materials for industry, chemistry and medicine. Physics is the basis for this endeavour and physicists play an important role in these and many other fields. As a physicist, you will have a broad education and a wide range of tools for problem solving, tools which you can apply in almost any situation. These tools include mathematical and programming skills. We offer the whole three-year Bachelor's programme in English, and since all of the courses at an advanced level are given in English, you are free to choose from a wide variety of courses.

How can economic change in the past help us understand future sustainable development? This programme combines the fields of economic history and economics. While the scope is global, the Scandinavian experience will be central. You will use concepts and theories from the social sciences to study the development of different economies and understand them in their social, political and cultural contexts. You will also examine important global issues, for example, mechanisms driving economic growth and development over time. Semester five gives you plenty of options regarding your course selection. You can study in Sweden, or study abroad as an exchange student. Alternatively, you could do an internship to gain practical skills and to prepare you for your future career.

In this programme, you will study environmental processes, monitoring and data management on local and global scales. You will obtain knowledge of various ecosystems, climate and climate change, land forming processes and land use. You learn useful tools such as GIS, remote sensing and digital mapping for analyzing and presenting data. You also gain the perspective of human activities, exploitation of natural resources and development. You will study in an international environment and learn both theory and practice through field excursions, group work and computer labs. Our staff has extensive experience working in different environments, from the cold Arctic to North African deserts and tropical forests in Central Africa and South America.

This program focuses on the sustainable rock value chain and covers how to find, mine, extract and recycle metal and minerals as well as environmental, social and economic aspects. The education is based on project-oriented learning in collaboration with companies in the sector.
